Everyone knows how important it is to stay hydrated and eat well for function, but it’s also critical for running performance, especially for those longer runs! Your body needs nutrients and fluid during exercise for strength and endurance but also for recovery.
Our second story comes from Susannah Gill. Susannah is the female World Marathon Challenge world record holder for running 7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 days. She completed the feat in February 2019 when she ran 295km and travelled 55,000 miles in 168 hours.
Lowri is no average athlete, nor does she do things by halves! This lady is an inspiration to everyone and we are honoured to call her our friend!

How One Woman Has Run On, Against All Odds…
Following a heart attack in July 2017, and completing 20 weeks of Cardiac Rehab classes, he joined his local gym in January 2018 with the intention of improving, then maintaining his heart health.
Starting off with elliptical training Kevin added brisk walking to his workout and gradually progressed to walk/jog intervals on a treadmill. The last 12 weeks of the cardiac rehab classes were run by the staff at his local gym where they continued to advise and watch over him as he progressed over a period of 12 months until he was able to run a 30-minute 5k.
Whether you’re new to running or an experienced runner, we can always learn from others and it’s always good to know that others have experienced what we’re going through. Sometimes it’s just good to get some inspiration from those who have done some remarkable things…
