We are proud to announce that Morgan’s Army will take over the Brisco Gorseinon 10K.  The race which was brought back to life by us in 2023 after a 25-year hiatus was an instant hit with the running community. One year on, and Morgan’s Army became the charity of the year, with their team of runners taking the event by storm. Now, they will officially take over this popular event which is set to take place next spring.

Tash Smith, Race Director at Front Runner Events said:

“It was clear from the beginning that Morgan’s Army was destined to make the event a success for the charity. With all their charity places filled, dozens of volunteers and endless supporters at the event this year, we are proud to handover the event to such a deserving charity.”

Morgan’s Army Charitable Foundation supports families in South Wales facing a cancer diagnosis in a child or young person. The charity offers bereavement services, peer support, grants and financial aid, in addition to supporting several projects run by larger charities that benefit the families they support.

Natalie Ridler, Morgan’s mum and Charity Founder said:

“Morgan’s Army is delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Front Runner Events and Swansea Council to take over the iconic Brisco Gorseinon 10k and family fun run. As a charity that was founded in Gorseinon, it means the world to us to be able to make this event our own and raise essential funds for our services. We are incredibly proud of our community of Gorseinon and we can’t wait to put our stamp on it!’

The event will continue to receive support from Front Runner Events from an event delivery and health and safety perspective so runners can be assured they will be in good hands. The event will also receive the continued support from headline sponsors Brisco and of course the Penyrheol Leisure Centre, where the event will start and finish.

The race route will remain the same, kicking off from Penyrheol Leisure Centre runners will head out through Gorseinon High Street to join the refurbished cycle path, then head towards Pontarddulais, before turning to run through Grovesend as they take on the final kilometres back to Penyrheol. Entry to the event will open at 6pm on Friday 15th November, so if you’ve been waiting for the chance to #RunGorseinon don’t delay REGISTER your place at:
