Thirty Three

Episode 33

On this week’s episode we catch up with Adrian Monti, a freelance journalist who works and writes for Runners World and other national newspapers and magazines. David first met Adrian in 2017, the night before he was due to run Swansea Half…and then write a review of the race. We have kept in touch since, so, it was great to catch up and chat with Adrian about all things running. We chat about his favourite races, his view of the impact on running magazines and journalists, and reminisce about his visits to Swansea in 2017 and again in 2018. On his last visit, Adrian came along with a different goal as he was there as a journalist but running as part of the world record attempt. Adrian was diagnosed with T1 diabetes in late 2017 and wanted to revisit the city to be part of an attempt to for the most type 1 diabetics to run a half marathon! It was an extraordinary day to say the least. They also chat about what the future of running may look like and more things beside.
